There was a news report that Target overcharges shoppers. I think ABC's World News Tonight did the report. Well, in the last 4 months it has happened to me twice. First time was when I was buying Sterlite 66 Qt. totes and the second time was today when I bought a Iron Man DVD 3 pack. The totes mistake was $2.00 off per tote. I bought 5 of them. Almost left the store before I looked at my receipt. Went over to the Customer Service desk and asked the cashier to scan the tote. They were supposed to scan at $6.99 and the scanned at $8.99. Told her it was in the ad that was posted before you walked into the store. Today I went to buy a few things that they advertised on sale, X-Men Days Of Futures Past for $8 and Superman Man Of Steel at $4. While in the department looking at other DVD's that were on sale I saw a Iron Man 3 pack for $8.99. I need only Iron Man 3 so for $8.99 it's a bargain. Buy it and looked at my receipt before leaving the store and see that they charged me $17.99 for the 3 pack. Go over to the customer service counter and tell the cashier that it should be $8.99 and not $17.99. There was a price tag on the shelf with the price of $8.99.
Be careful when you shop at Target and check your receipts before you leave. I wonder how much extra $$$ they take in when they overcharge and aren't held accountable for it?
