The last time I saw a clip of David Lee Roth his head was shaved. Its was earlier this year, when he sang with the Foo Fighters to celebrate Dave Grohl's B-Day.

I have to agree on Roth...he's now worse than Axel Rose...he should retire.

But I think Eddie still riffs pretty good.

    Bring back Sammy Hagar, baby...

Van Halen has been terrible for years. They've been a brand name and a t-shirt logo longer then they've been a band now. They really haven't been good since 1984 (the year & the album) and that was 31 years ago!
For those that have never seen it, here's the Spit Take's "4 Musical Performances That Will Ruin Your Childhood" which pretty much sums up exactly what you're getting when you walk into a VH show. (Of course Van Halen made the list.) Oh, is anyone crazy enough to buy tickets in advance for their summer tour? I mean there's a pretty good chance this band will implode about half way through their circuit since, you know, they really can't stand each other and that's been their standard operating procedure in concerts past.

    Anyway, check it:

I haven't watched the Ellen performances, but as far as the Kimmel show goes, I couldn't even get through "Running With The Devil." The vocals are really off (in all of the performances). I didn't expect that.

That's the one. What's the deal with Alex? He's either not into it or he's just cringing at how much of an idiot David looks like. Eddie should have at least busted out one of the signature red pinstriped guitars.

Just saw them on Ellen and they were AWFUL. David Lee Roth was a complete and utter CLOWN! Eddie can still play, but the rest of the band were just AWFUL. They must have bumped up Eddie's guitar to cover the horrendous vocals of Roth because you could barely hear Roth. This band is DONE! BTW, Eddie's son Wolfie can't hold Michael Anthony's jock. He can't sing and hit the high notes like Michael could and he's not even 1/100th the bass player. I guess if you missed the original version of the band before they split back in '85/'86 there really is no sense going to see this monstrosity. Time to pack it in guys.

I'm a full-on David Lee Roth era Van Halen fan, but honestly, I don't get the impression that DLR even knows what the lyrics to these songs are any more. Eddie looks and sounds great though. And Alex is a monster of a drummer, as always. I think that dude is one of the best drummers in rock, but doesn't really get the credit because he is overshadowed by Eddie. Looking forward to seeing what they perform the rest of the week.

Always good to see Van Halen hitting the road again. Eddie remains a pleasure to listen to at every stage of his career. Just an amazing artist.

Van Halen live on Jimmy Kimmel...

Roth seems like he lost his power voice...but the band sounds tight...and Eddie now looks like a short version of pro wrestler Kevin "Diesel" Nash, lol.

Having said that...Eddie is looking healthy...much better than those sad-looking ones of just a few years ago.

    Playing three classics...

It marked their first television performance since frontman David Lee Roth rejoined the band in 2007. Diamond Dave wore an open jean jacket with no shirt underneath, showing off a full chest tattoo (see below). Eddie Van Halen showed off his still-solid guitar skills throughout, trading licks with son Wolfgang Van Halen onstage. They wrapped up the show with “Dance the Night Away” off 1979’s Van Halen II. Roth was up to his old tricks after the song, declaring to a woman in the front row: “I got a hottie right here who’s been dancing all night.
