Unless you want the best Disney movie ever! I'd pay to watch Mickey meet a grisly end.

I guess I am too. if these are targeted for girls/kids, I would not want my daughters to pick up any of that. I am trying to empower my girls, not see themselves as assault victims or porn stars. Times are different I guess....

I don't know if it's appropriate for the intended age group, but I do know that a lot of kids of that age are watching a lot worse on their computer and TV.
At their age, I was still into action figures, but these days they are pretty well informed about sex and violence all by themselves.
In all honesty, I think they'll find these covers pretty tame.

Also, when Punisher guns down people or Wolverine guts them with his claws, is this less offensive? Is a woman's behind more offensive than a human being dying?

I can see them getting slack for both covers - But sticking with what I know - some of the Spiderwoman Covers and art - the way she has been drawn in the past, made her out to look like a porn star more than a comic book hero - I really have not read much at all in the last 5-7 years but covers like this may have lead to them saying to tame her down a bit:

But when I stopped reading the way they were drawing all the females was getting a little racey - not sure how they are being drawn today

No waist, super skinny, with massive gravity-defying boobs and legs twice the length of the torso. A fair representation of the gender, apparently...
