Just discovered $700 in dormant PayPal account

I really needed some good news this week and found it in a most unlikely place, PayPal.
My wife tried to transfer some money from our PayPal account into my bank account, for some reason she used an old email that I had that I never use, and the money was transferred into a PayPal account that I basically don't remember even setting up.
Problem was, I couldn't for the life of me remember the password, and the email I used to set it up is now non existent (it was one giving to me for use while I was in collage a few years back and it expires 2 years after you are no longer register at the school).
To make a long story short when I contacted PayPal they informed me she (my wife) had made deposits into the PayPal account a few times over the last bunch of years totalling over $700. I'd go on a toy buying spree but I'm sure if I did something would go wrong with my car the next day.
Anyways, if you ever had more than one PayPal account you'd best check to make sure it's empty, they're not going to contact you to tell you the money's there.

      That's sounds pretty neat.
Now the question is... did you let your wife know about this lost-and-found money?

Took me until yesterday to finally get this money. First I was told to wait 5-7 business days for it to be transferred to my bank, which sucked because it was a Friday evening when I discovered it, so 11 days later still not in account, call paypal, they say theyll transfer to another paypal account instead, will take 2-3 days. Of course still not there. 5 phone calls that took about 1/2 hour each to finally be walked through a process that I didnt know I needed to do (and they didnt tell me) where I had to manually convert the US dollars to Canadian. Was nice that it ended up being closer to $870 in the end due to low Canadian dollar. But what a hassle.

While your counting that money, just remember, Ben's cat needs a bigger bed. And she can't pay for that by herself....
