Inspired by Sharry's super-fun thread about your vintage grocery store cart, I started thinking about other vintage shopping carts.
Playing off the theme, if you went back in time, to a discount department store, and could bring 10 things OTHER THAN TOYS back, what would you bring. Me... I'm backing up the Vista Cruiser to the Two Guys on Lincoln Hwy in Levittown for
-Tube Socks- I remember trying to get color combos that matched NFL teams.

-A Bean Bag Chair - From the days when I didn't need back support

-Huffy Thunder Road Bike - It was definitely the cheap version of a real mountain bike, but it was my first passport to freedom!

-A Nylon Mesh Football Style Shirt- Yeah, it had holes to keep you cool, but they layered those numbers on with a 1/4" thick plastic ink to compensate. Somehow these made me feel like a real athlete.

-Panasonic TNT Plunger 8-Track- few things bring back 70's nostalgia then Panasonic's lines of brightly colored, portable music equipment.

-Ghostland Lunch Box - sure, there are a bunch way more cooler lunch boxes, but this is the one I had in 2nd Grade and I loved that it had a working game with spinner on the back. I think we even played this lame game at lunch.

-Official NFL Parka Vest- I sincerely believed having my arms unencumbered by sleeved made me more agile playing Nerf football.

-A Console TV - OK, I'm gonna need help lugging this back. Who's willing to back with me?

- A Pair of Knock-Off Wallabees - I don't think I even knew the cheapie versions I had were inspired by something called Wallabees. These were the first shoes I ever wanted when I started to become aware of fashion. I love that had Walter White wear them on Breaking Bad.

-Lunch at the Food Counter - It was always a super treat to get to have lunch at the greasy food counter. I couldn't bring the food back, but I'm sure the heartburn would make the trip.
