My first job was when I was about 14/15 years old, at a neighborhood music store where I had been taking guitar lessons. Only made about $3 an hour or so, but I got to listen to records and play guitars all day long so who can complain?

And now I'm a professional musician so really not too much has changed, including not getting paid enough for it!

Washing dishes when I was 14 at a restaraunt called the fox and hound. I'll never forget the 3 owners names were Peter, Paul, and Larry. Looking back I had no clue what I was doing. I actually got served beer at a very young age. There was no PC so to say in that kitchen. Was a good first job for 1988.

My first job was at a paper mill in the wood room in 1986. I had to pull logs out of a pile with a picaroon ( axe handle with a spike ) and place the logs into pockets to be ground into pulp. I had arms like Hulk Hogan after just six months. I would have most likely quit that job but I bought a brand new Camaro IROC so I stuck around. I worked there 9 years before starting to drive a fuel truck.

Worked as a store clerk in a knife shop in a local mall. Worked there for about three years, finally making it up to night manager. The guy I worked for/with was named Kenny and he was quite an educator for a somewhat backwards teenager like I was. He was also friggin' hilarious. I've never had a boss since then that I've loved that much.

Wendy's! Grill dude for a whopping 3 months and I quit because I was always on the closing crew and I smelled like hamburger grease, just a tip...don't eat the "chilli"...just saying.

Wrapping gifts at a department stored during the Christmas season.
Great job, because I discovered a huge box of discarded display toys in the basement. Stuff that was "broken" (but just needed new batteries, idiots!).
I left with a huge bag, including a remote control Sandcrawler and R2 in perfect condition.

My second job was less fun, unloading trucks at the Post Office Depo in midwinter. Man, that was cold...

Delivered the Suburban news and Star Ledger at 12 and 13. At age 14 I got my real first job stock and counter boy at Felix Fox paints in Clark NJ. Was a fun job, my first manager there was a bit of a nut job. On my first day as I was opening the Metal door to the side entrance I saw a silver flash thru the window and closed the door, to a thud he had just thrown a throwing star at the door. 2 seconds later and it would of hit me right in the head!!! good times!

Dish washer, Sunday nights after dinner for 4 hours at the local university. I must not have sucked cause while all the other dishwashers were eventually fired or quit I was promoted to an 8 hour shift on Saturdays cleaning pots ... until I quit.

At least that was my first real job. As a youngin I would work at my Father's service station pumping gas, checking oil and reading comics in the tire racks. Freaked out some folks to have their car attended to by an 11 year old.

I was a teen when I got a job at a local mom & pops burger joint...after the owner yelled at me...I told him to shove his burgers where the sun don't shine.

Time I lasted at that job...exactly two hours...
