    hi all,
i know we all collect megos and probably spend a good chunk of our collecting budget on it.. but just curious as to what's second on the list... for myself, i also collect die cast star cars and anything green hornet or starsky and hutch related stuff.

Right now Indiana Jones has the #1 spot with Mego and 1980's GI Joes tie in taking #2 but all three are what I mostly collect at this time.

          I also collect 12-inch non-Mego action-figures, mostly superhero stuff.

I also buy a lot of built up models.

I'm working mostly on mego but I'll pick up about any 70's toys I run across a good deal on. I'm always hitting flea markets, antique malls and a few yard sales so usually there is always a joe or 2 around, vintage star wars pieces, marx johnny west figures, fisher price adventure people, big jim. I just can't help myself I like it all.

From a pure $ standpoint, Mego figures is not where most of my collection dollars are in.

I collect a lot of different things but I would say the top 3 $ invested are:

                              1. Anri-hand carved wood items from Italy. Mostly bottle stoppers but I have moved into collecting other high end stuff. Some of the super high end collectors have recently purged most of their collections and I have picked up many pieces in the last year or two.

                              2. Duck Decoys- I only own about 10 in total but some of them are from really well known carvers both dead and alive, some are museum quality carvings.

                              3. Redskins Pennants-Got hooked on this years ago when I stumbled across an old Redskins Pennant that I picked up in a local Antique Mall for $30. I didn't know much about them but guesstimated it was from the 1960's. To my complete shock, found out later that it was from the 1940's and on the rare occasion that it shows up on EBAY, sells for well over $200. Fortunately, the most I have ever seen paid for a Redskins pennant is $1,800 which is a really rare picture pennant that has Sam Huff, Sonny Jurgenson, and Bobby Mitchell all pictured and all HOF'ers. I picked the same pennant up in a lot of 3 pennants and after selling off the other two, have about $250 into it. I have been collecting these pennants for the better part of 10 years and would guess I have one of the best Redskin pennant collections around since some of them have only shown up once on Ebay in 10 years and I own it.
