I was watching How It's Made and saw them making sausage and cold cuts. Everyone was head to toe in protective gear, gloves, masks. Looked like a clean room making computer processors. Then I saw an episode where they made gas station / convenience store sandwiches. No gloves, spreading the grated cheese around with fingers, man handling the meat slices ...

Now when I make a sandwich I don;t throw on gloves, neither did my Mom. So I'm not a total germ-a-phobe. But man o' man did that hit me weird.
