    The Fall (available on NetFlix)

The Missing was really good. Was on Starz, is available OnDemand and may be on Hulu or Amazon or something like that.

    Endeavour--PBS and Amazon.

The Leftovers--Was on HBO but should be Available on Amazon by now. Same with True Detective.

Current news shows, the ones I dig...

      Gotham
      The Flash
      The Walking Dead
      The Big Bang Theory
      Orange is the New Black
      Fast N Loud

Boardwalk Empire and Sons of Anarchy just ended their runs...and before that, Breaking Bad.

        Hands down --

        Modern Family.

The writing and acting are second to none. Best show on television now, and among the best series ever created.

History Channel's Vikings. FX's Fargo was awesome.

Of the ones further mentioned I have not seen Downton Abbey, Modern Family, Endeavour, Fast n Loud or Peaky Binders.

The rest I have seen and I agree with all of you. Good stuff and many thanks.

… if you want drama combined with superb writing that is only surpassed by the quality of the actors, I strongly recommend Justified, which is about to start airing its final season.

On that exact same note, you might want to go back and watch Deadwood, which also skimmed the cream of the crop in forming its cast. Sadly, that series ended too soon.

Turning the tv off and going outside.

Jk I like Arrow, once upon a time, and the good wife.

Justified and Deadwood are easily in my Top 50 TV shows of all time. Just brilliant IMHO.

Z Nation is a guilty pleasure of mine. I should hate it as I am opposed to most Asylum releases but I do like it a lot.

Needless to say, this comic book adict is watching all the comic shows like Flash, Arrow, Constantine, etc.

Have not tried The Good Wife yet. Adding to my list.

Surprised not more Sorkin fans out there. West Wing, Newsroom, Sports Night. Man I did those as well.

Vintage I am about half way thru Space 1999 season 2, SMDM season 1 and Fall Guy season 1.

Thanks all. Looksblike I have a healthy list of shows to check out!

Bojack Horseman. Surprisingly thoughtful for a cartoon about a horse. Cast is great, too.
Luther. Idris Elba is amazing, and Ruth Wilson just won a Golden Globe (for another show, but she's still great in this one).

                            Both are on Netflix.

...If you're willing to dig up a completely underappreciated show, get a hold of The Prisoner. The entire thing is an allegory, raising questions (and never providing answers) about man's relationship with society. It may feel dated now, but it was way ahead of its time. You will either love it or hate it... Or despise it. But once you watch it, it will never leave your brain.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
