Target was a nicer store but now that the Company is closing all its Canadian stores it will have to be scummmmmmmy Walfart....here in Western Canada ...the Walfarts around me are dirty ,lack people that know the product and lack product on the best of days ....

No K MARTS ...NO TARGET ....the Cdn landscape for retail is poor at best .
So to all my toy collector family in the US of eh...enjoy what you got ...cause once its gonzo...its gone !!!

Rumours have it that many Target locations will become morrrre Walfarts...eeeegads ...bad enough having A gas station on every corner now a Walfart on every corner !!!!

Lastly retail toy market is bad bad bad up here !!!

    Im sooo bummed !
    if it AIN'T a toy..I DON'T WANT IT !!!

Target is nicer but I usually go to Walmart just because it's 5 miles away and Target is 15 miles. There's another Walmart 2 miles from the other one so yeah they are everywhere.

We do as much shopping as we can at our local target. Walmart is always worse, nasty bathrooms, filthy smell, it's horrible. Target is always clean and organized with friendly staff. I wish we had a super target so we could get groceries there. We shop at Publix for groceries in Florence Al.and it's great too. So definitely Target all the way. I try to avoid Walmart at all costs.

I'm sad Target is leaving Canada. One of the reasons I moved to a larger city in Canada is for easier action figure access. Thank goodness for the urban Comic Shop selections...no, *really*, thank iGoodness! so I guess Wal-Mart is our only wider-Canadian retail option.

Target by a mile. I rarely venture to Wally World, but when I do I have discovered that their prices are generally no better than Target's. Plus the toy section at WM is pretty crappy here.

Even though my town isn't very big my local Walmart's parking lot attracts a lot of seedy people - especially at night during the wee hours.

After around 2:00 am it turns into Mos Eisley Spaceport

Target by a quadrillion miles, it's not even close.

We go to Target once a week, our mom loves it. We go to three different Targets just to drive mom around, she gets good walking exercise in them too. It's clean, well laid out, and the Targets around here tend to be located in nice areas.

Walmart is garbage, the two near us are pure ghetto garbage dumps...you couldn't pay us to go there.

This is tough to do in my hometown. We have one comic shop and they carry very little in the way of toy collectibles. They don't have any ReAction figures, and no FTC or other 8" ReMego. I think at one point they had a few Mattel 8", but they were marked up pretty high.

...and the ONLY reason I see Walmart in person...is because Oakland's In N Out is right next to it, lol.

But get this...Walmart's crowd doesn't frequent In N Out...they stay put in the McDonald's inside the store...thank god for that.

I'm not really talking collectibles (although I can relate, it's a good 40 minutes to a comic shop that orders toys), I just meant general, everyday kind of stuff. I've seen a lot of good people get destroyed by these box stores, so when I can, I try to spend my money with local, independently owned business.

In general, I try not to shop at huge corporate chains, but I make an exception for Target. Compared to Walmart and the other similar mega chains, Target delivers a better shopping experience and it also has a better track record for conscientious corporate behavior. Yes, Target Corp has made some civic blunders, but overall, they make an effort to act responsibly, and to give back to the communities.
