Lastly retail toy market is bad bad bad up here !!! Im sooo bummed !
I'm sad Target is leaving Canada. One of the reasons I moved to a larger city in Canada is for easier action figure access. Thank goodness for the urban Comic Shop selections...no, *really*, thank iGoodness! so I guess Wal-Mart is our only wider-Canadian retail option.

We do as much shopping as we can at our local target. Walmart is always worse, nasty bathrooms, filthy smell, it's horrible. Target is always clean and organized with friendly staff. I wish we had a super target so we could get groceries there. We shop at Publix for groceries in Florence Al.and it's great too. So definitely Target all the way. I try to avoid Walmart at all costs.

Target is nicer but I usually go to Walmart just because it's 5 miles away and Target is 15 miles. There's another Walmart 2 miles from the other one so yeah they are everywhere.

If I have to choose between Target and Walmart, it will always be Target. As a farmer, I have dealt firsthand with Walmart produce buyers and can safely say that I will NEVER do ANY business with Walmart. Being in the midwest, however, if I have to choose between Target and Meijer, then I will choose Meijer.

Target all the way. Plus, two are within five minutes and walmart is about fifteen. Walmart only gets my business when I'm in the mood for some diet dr. Thunder.

When I have to go, I prefer Target. It's easier to get in and out of, and the environment is nicer.

That being said, I've stepped foot in Wal-Mart probably twice in the last five years, and I've been in Target probably five times in the last couple years. I avoid them both like the plague.

Target is the Taj Mahal of retail these days. Our closest is 30 minutes away so we succumb to the convenience of the Walmart which is only 2 miles away. But with gas prices finally getting back to respectable levels I see that commute no longer being such an issue.

I do appreciate their cleanliness, exclusive products, seasonal merchandise and overall vibe. The Walmart is most certainly the polar opposite. If this was the Mirror, Mirror universe Walmart would definitely be the one with the mustache and goatee.

Target for sure. Maybe it's because all the Targets near here are around nicer communities, but you don't get that segment of "HOLY CRAP" people at Target usually, both in the store and behind the counter! The staff is generally more helpful, and seems to be well-trained. I can't say that about most Wal-Marts these days. I agree Target stores are more organized and cleaner in general.

My only gripe about Target is when they go nuts with price hikes on things, like the Star Wars figures others posted here. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Target clears out merchandise like no other chain. When they put stuff on clearance, they want it GONE!!! If you are in the store at the right time, you can really catch some great deals.

Last night, the whole family was coming back from a Harlem Globetrotters game, and we swung into our town Wal-Mart for milk at about 10:30. We decided to make a quick run for our weekly groceries. We felt like we were running some kind of horror movie gauntlet, because the zombified stocking crew refused to move out of our way, and practically mowed us over several times! The old man with the push broom ran into our cart 3 times and never acknowledged we were even there!

    So yeah, I'll take Target!!!

    Chris
