1966 Ford Mustang. I got it for High School graduation in 1985. The odd thing was it was painted '77 Chevrolet Corvette Blue, which was a little lighter than midnight blue. That was my first car and my first Mustang. But not my last.

1969 Ford Torino with a 428 cobra jet. Faaaast car. My dad had one with a 390 and I always loved it, so I saved while in college and bought mine.Comment

My first car was what we grew up with, a 1974 Mazda RX4 station wagon. It took forever to warm up, chugged oil by the cases, and probably drove 12 miles to the gallon. She was very clean. Some drunken idiot parked their car into the back of the car, completely crunching her up. It was going to cost way over $2K to uncrunch the back. Probably just as well, because it was way before the days of 1-800-exhaust, where you reported cars that were polluting the environment, and we had to get rid of her. I think we got $200 from the insurance company.

When I first got my license, I drove the family 1976 2-door Nova.
My first car was a 1980 Chevy Citation in RED 2 door hatchback

I was 17 years old when my dad gave me his American Motors Marlin...
Sadly, an old man lost control of his car and hit me right on the middle of the passenger's side...the car was almost cut in half. I suffered a busted knee, and by some miracle, the old man only had a broken collarbone.
The car was totaled, and sadly crushed into a sardine can.
The old man's insurance company gave me three thousand dollars...I then got myself my second car, a Datsun 240Z.sigpicComment

My first car was a 1989 Camaro Iroc Z28 with the 5.7L (350 engine). Dark Red Metallic exterior, Grey interior. Sweet ride and very slick looking car. I was the stuff back then.I got it for High School graduation in 1989. Sadly, a couple of years and many modifications later in or around 1992 or 1993 I was side swiped by a tractor trailer going down the highway. Messed the car up bad. Good news is I sued, won and in the end actually made money on the car $$$ I still kind of miss the car though as it had sentimental value since it was graduation present AND my first car. I think about buying one similar to it these days although I have too many other cars now or so I am told anyway.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

My first car was an '80 Ford Pinto (in 1992), metallic brown, w/a tinted sunroof. I got it for FREE, so I had no problem w/that. It needed a catalytic converter, which I pulled off our '79 Mercury Bobcat that was headed for the crusher. I loved that car, it ALWAYS started. I ended up giving it to my older brother when I got an '85 Toyota MR-2 in '94. I still have my MR-2, I hope to rebuild the engine sometime-so it's sitting in my mother-in-law's barn until I get around to it.Comment

My first car I got when I was only 7 years old and I still have it, it's my 1971 Ford Torino 500 Fastback. Given it's never really been a car I drive much since it was in storage until 2001, and since it's all original I'd hate to have anything happen to it so I just drive it on nice sunny days and to local car shows. It was my older brothers and he was killed in an accident (in his Jeep) when he was 22 years old (I was only 7 at the time) So the Torino was given to me.
My "first real" driver is my 93 Sable, lame grandma looking car and baby blue, but that V-6 has some good get up and go. good gas mileage really is an over all good car. and since I really dislike most new cars I feel no need to upgrade. but in time I do want to get a new paint job... baby blue just isn't my styleComment
