    ESPN's Stuart Scott Passes

Scott was one of the few ESPN anchors I liked (most of them are annoying as heck), really sad how he progressively deteriorated on the air over the last couple of years, the saddest part is that he leaves behind two young daughters.

Sad story indeed! I won't question his impact on Sportscenter, but there was a span in the '90s/'00s when he almost single-handedly made me quit watching ESPN. He did come up with his "cooler than the other side of the pillow" line during local broadcasting here in South Carolina, but he took it too far once it started getting popular. It felt like every 10 second highlight had 4 catchphrases in it.

But on this sad day, I'll just leave positive thoughts for his family! Rest in Peace!

He definitely matured as a journalist in later years. Regardless of my thoughts on his early phrases, he was one of the best on ESPN! Rest in Peace!

He'll be sorely missed. A great voice in the sports world.

He was every bit as important for the growth of ESPN as Chris Berman or any of the other anchors. Van Pelt and many others owe their careers to him.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Couldn't stand him as an anchor, but really admired the way he fought cancer these past few years. Wishing nothing but the best for his family during this difficult time.
