Do you like wihte or red wine with your Disney Junior programming?

Not to be a prude but this one caught the wife and I by surprise the other day. Following Octonaughts on Disney Junior one of the in between cooking featurettes came on and low and behold the gourmet cooking lady was making up a sauce with... Red Wine. ?!?! Mind you this is Disney Junior, not Nick Mom or even Disney XD. This is the Disney that is target at the toddler, Pre K, Kindergarten set. They don't even do traditional commercials on this particular extension. The funniest thing about it was that she stated when choosing the proper wine to use in your sauce;" if you like it then your food will like it". Um, ok.

I'm not a picket in the streets, blame Canada Sheila Broflovski type of parent hating on TV channels and programs but this one just seemed to be a bit of a misstep for the House of Mouse. What are your thoughts?

It's strange that they do cooking segments in general. Obviously aimed toward parents, but yeah the kids will tune out.

I get into the reds right after Sophia the 1st and Henry Hugglemonster, so about 10am or so. No but seriously, I wait until nap time.

My wife was joking; "Just think of all the kids who decided that this looking like a lot of fun, found Momma's bottle of Merlot and made the Cheerios a whole lot more intersting."

They specifically make non-alcoholic cooking wines that are not for drinking. Maybe they were using those?

That is really odd. I could see this more from Nick, who have generally been more "out there" over the years.

Disney does have wine festivals at Epcot, so...

She never mentioned that. Again not to be a nut about it but just doesn't seem to be the best of ideas for Disney.

Usually,she does two different recipes. One for kids and one for adults. Was this one of those times?
