I always see your avatar. Wanted to show you one of my autographs. When Sammy's autobiography came out a few years ago, I sent him a message on his official page saying I bought a copy for a friend who was a big fan (and a copy for me). About 10 days later, this showed up... complete with Cabo Wabo frame and everything! No warning! Pretty awesome guy!

Yeah, it was surreal. Not sure if he actually had anything to do with it (probably not). But regardless... it says a lot! He's just a cool guy who gets it!

Big Sammy fan, I thought he was given a raw deal from the Van Halen brothers. Boy do they hold grudges. Either way I'm sure he's enjoying his life.

I love Sammy's music as well, solo and VH - great riding tunes when I take a long trip on the Harley. I read the autobiography a few months ago.

The Van Halen brothers (esp. Eddie) love to take credit for the songwriting, but it's obvious that both Dave and Sammy had HUGE influences on the process. Just look at the difference in song structure from Dave era to Sammy's. Sammy produced by far the most polished Van Halen songs.

When I was in high school, I thought Eddie was it. They were my favorite band since Diver Down came out, then I started realizing they're mental cases a few years ago. And they way they treated Mike Anthony was nonsense.

Sammy saved VH after David Lee Roth left, I remember seeing there 5150 concert tour, and then
again at the VH monsters of rock tour in 88, Sam was definitely the man, and you have a very cool
pic.

What I love about Sammy is he is his own person. He's been very successful in most anything he has done because that same spirit of rock n roll travels with him. Whether he's been solo, with Montrose, Van Halen, or Chicken Foot, you just know when it's Sammy and he brings a kind of fun loving, but rocking, attitude to his craft that is just contagious. There IS only one Sammy.
