2004 TX Batman '66 Convention

The Texas Batman-Convention in 2004 was one of the last convention that actor Frank Gorshin would attend before he died on May 17, 2005. The convention had Adam West, Burt Ward and Frank Gorshin signing autographs. There was also memorbile from the Batman '66 series (Batmobile, Batboat, Batcycle) and cosplayers dressed as Batman '66 characters.

I found my CD of the event and now with the Batman '66 hitting the market again I thought it was time to add this to my Batman '66 in the media Wiki. So enjoy the photos.

Those are fun pictures. Hard to believe 2004 is now going to be 11 years ago. Did this group do any more conventions in recent years?

Nope. The company who put this on went out of business, Wally Wingert stopped going to cons as Batman and Frank Goshin died the next year.

This just happened to be the right timing and I was selling action figures at Cons back then.

I think it was 2010 that Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, Julie Newmar, and Lee Meriwether were at Wondercon in Anaheim. I was there and got autographs from everyone! It was so much fun!

I was lucky enough to get Gorshin at Chiller in 2004. When he passed the next year I realized the importance of getting these older actors when I can.

This so awesome! I got to me Adam West and Burt Ward at a local Con in Jersey in 2005. It's true when these actors come to Cons better go see them cause you never know if you'll see them again. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! I was lucky enough to see Gorshin twice, not long before he passed. Cindy even managed to get a kiss on the cheek from him!
