When I first met my wife she had a cat.Yeah I thought a cat,it was her cat,it loved her, followed her ,the cat was her shadow.Cali a calico cat,has now outlast 3 other cats,The newest feline to enter our home is unbelievable.Snickerdoodle is the name we blessed her with ,mainly because of her colorings, she looks likes shes dusted with cinnimon and suger, like a snickerdoodle cookie. She has turned into the best pet I've ever had ,she runs to greet me at the door ,loves to play, and so very talkative.Just wondering who else out there has caved in an enjoyed the company of a cat as a pet.

We call my cat Milokitty. He looks like a tiny cow (white with black spots). Most of the time he's a great cat. He can get annoying when he wants attention and you don't give it. We had another cat who died last year. Now that was devistating. I don't know what I'm going to do when Milokitty passes. He is getting old.Comment

We have always had cats in my family. I still remember the first day we got a calico cat, named Calico, in 1979. She was great and used to climb on our shoulders while we walked around.
My dad has 2 cats right now-which is odd because we never had more than 1 at a time. My brother bought a black cat with white spot on her chest. 2nd time in a row we had a black cat like that because the one we had prior, Tootsie Roll, had some brain problem, ( the vet showed us by shinning a light at her eyes), and had to be put down. Then Ma died and my brother thought a cat would be a good idea as we had always had one in the family. We never named the new cat except to call her trouble because she gets into everything so she is named Trouble.
Then my sister took in a siameese cat from a friend who loved cats but just had a baby and couldn't keep it. The siameese is named Wilson, ( stupid name, I would'a called her ISIS or something cool), and just wants to play and make noise constantly. The older black cat is not too thrilled to share the place with a newer, younger, cat but they mostly get along and sometimes chase each other around the house. Wilson likes to sleep in a tower her previous owner bought. She has outgrown the top level and sometimes sleeps with her paws and head hanging over the side looking like Superman ready to fly. We have tried to take a pic of this but will have to try harder.Comment

My family's always had dogs, but once I met my husband, I grew to love his family's Tonkinese(sp?) named Logan. He was a big guy, very affectionate. While living with my parents, I ended up bringing in a female who I named
Sophie. She happened to be pregnant, and had 6 kittens. We found homes for all but one, and then Sophie died. So I kept the last of the babies and named him Wallace "Fignuts" West, Wally for short. Since most of the animals I had growing up were rescued dogs, it was very special, having a cat that had been born at my house. I still have him. My husband and I also adopted a little grey girl that was living on our neighbor's porch before a cold spell. Her name is Raven, and has made herself quite at home with us. At first, she and Wally fought constantly, but they've gotten much better. They're not exactly friends, but Wally now lets his little sister sleep on the bed with the rest of the family.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
