CM Punk on why he left WWE

A LONG interview but well worth the listen if you are a wrestling fan. He was one of the lone bright spots WWE had in the last 5-10 years. Punk does some burying of HHH, Roidback, and others.

While a previous report stated that there has been a mixed reaction to CM Punk’s interview with Colt Cabana on the Art of Wrestling podcast, according to the latest version of Wrestling Observer Radio just about everyone in the company who listened to it–which is pretty much everyone from management and main roster to NXT–thought it was great. The report claims that while Punk had a lot of enemies backstage–particularly at the end–even his detractors are reportedly pleased that some of the details he provided have finally surfaced. It was noted that many people backstage are afraid to discuss their issues with management and while they don’t like him or want him back, they are glad that these details have been revealed to the public.

To no one’s surprise, the McMahons are not pleased about it. According to the report, Vince McMahon is “upset but not fuming” and is simply upset that the whole thing happened. Triple H, on the other hand, is furious. Brian Alvarez noted, “‘Triple H wants to kill Punk’ was the exact text message…Hunter and Stephanie have such an abject hatred for CM Punk.”

It was noted that Ryback isn’t happy, which is the least surprising news to come out of this considering his Twitter reaction over the weekend where he called Punk “fragile and insecure.”

In addition, it was noted that Punk will do a “Part Two” podcast in the near future where Punk answers questions from fans.

He's a great talent and responsible for at least three of the best matches I've seen live in my life, but he also makes Bret Hart's self-number one-fandom look like child's play.

Bret was the man. It takes a lot of ego to get to the top in any entertainment industry. At least Punk and Bret became successful on their own merrit unlike HGH.

Punk's wife, AJ Lee, will eventually either be fired, or quit...too bad, as she's by far, the most adorable of all the divas. She's also by far, the best diva on the mic.

They both make The Hulkster's ego look tiny, and that's a tough thing to do. That being said, despite all of the negative pub that he's gotten in the past decade, Hulk is far better to his fans and is the biggest name that the business will ever see.

I was referrering to HHH. Hogan was the biggest long term star maybe ever. Even though Stone Cold was huge for a few years and Rock made a better career for himself. Hogan isn't the best example of humility or integrity for obvious reasons but there is no denying his impact.

I had to stop listening to Punk crying to his real wife Colt...boo boo I made millions and they fired me on my wedding day yup tough life! Hope he's got it hidden from AJ, anyone expecting him to come back hat in hand Superstar Bill Graham style and beg for a another run after the divorce? I give it 2 years.

CM Punk knows that its a no win situation going up against HHH or anyone associated with him in WWE. Certain wrestlers (like HBK) have always had to much pull in the company, thats why HHH became buddies with them early on. Wrestling politics is as bad as real politics, it can make or break careers.

Whereas Ric Flair says Austin was the biggest name in wrestling.

Then why did he apologize on Stone Cold's show?
