Would you buy stuff from a rude seller?

There's a dealer at a local convention that sells heaps of Sideshow Universal Monsters.
Last year, I bought four, and he still seemed really angry for some reason. As a matter of fact, he always looks angry.

But these days, everytime I ask him a price or any kind of info, he practically bites my nose off.
Me: "Do you have the color version of Phantom?"
Him: "Yeah, in my living room!!!!" ().

I just can't bring myself to buy from this guy anymore, even though he has some cool stuff...

I've walked away from crappy dealers before.

At one flea market a guy had piles of decent 70s vintage with no prices. I'd pick up a piece, smile and say "How much is this?" the guy would answer and it was favorable, so I'd reach into my pocket. I never haggled.

He'd say stuff like "Yeah, that's right, you know you're stealing it". Dude was super miserable and after three purchases I had enough, his comments kept getting more and more antagonistic. On the way out I spied a kresge Aquaman, I just couldn't, I regretted not buying it but he was just such a dick.

Also at a Kane County, I walked up to a dealer setting up and asked if he had any Mego figures, he got incredibly smug looking and said "That's like asking Toys R Us if they have any toys" he tapped his friend on the shoulder and said "This guy wants to know if I have any Mego's" and pointed and laughed.

I have to admit I was a bit gobsmacked at how pretentious this guy was, who does that?

Before I could say anything my gf loudly told me not to buy anything from "this A hole". I married that gal.

I set up at a show a guy asks "how much is this?" (70's Hot wheels uhail truck)That's $5. Guys says "I don't deal in that junk, I'm on a budget" then he flipped through a pile of $20's and bought something unrelated.

I'm ordered stuff from guys here that have been abrupt or borer line rude with me. If the transaction involves a reasonable price and limited interactions, I'll go thru with it if I want the item. If he's an outright arsehole, I'll tell 'em to stick it.

I've bought from dickweed people and regret it every time.

Later, I can't look at the piece without remembering Mr Dickweed

                    Never again

Getting too old to put up with crap - would rather pass it by

I don't get attitude from dealers as much as I get, well, nothing. I can be standing there with an item in one hand and cash in the other, and it seems like 25% of the time the guy can't pause his conversation with his buddy long enough to take my $. I'm not what you call patient, so after a reasonable amount of time passes I move along.

Maybe I'm superstitious, but it feels like I'm also getting the guy's bad karma with the toy, and fuelling more bad karma in him.
Last time, I just walked away from the guy's booth, even though I saw some stuff I liked. That was after having been ignored for a couple of minutes and then being snapped at.

Maybe he doesn't want to sell his collection, and his wife is forcing him to, but that's not my fault...

Could be. I always figure he's just taking his toys out to have the dust blown off.
