True story ......
When I was really young, I was allergic to eggs.....
If I ate one i'd blow up and break out.
Once I was rushed to the hospital because I ate something with an egg in it.
At around 10-ish years old, I had my first Egg McMuffin.
It just looked so good, I didn't care what happened after...
If I died, I didn't care
So I eat the McMuffin and NOTHING HAPPENED..... (BTW, IT WAS GOOD)
I guess I grew out of my allergy .......
The little McMuffin brought me into the world of eggs ......
...which i've been eating ever since
I did some research later .....
Apparently, a lot of kids are allergic to eggs and just grow out of it.
Thanks for letting me know I was cool, Egg McMuffin
I too was allergic to eggs, and milk and dust and mold and mildew, and yellow food coloring #5, and dog hair. I grew out of all of those thank the gods. I would be one of those dead pilgrams they find buried next to the Oregon trail. Good thing for allergy shots.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
Dang---I love that sandwich...one thing I always liked was the unique way
the actual egg tasted----I dunno if it's fried or what----but the way the yoke
and the white are seperated make for an interesting taste----I remember
my camp used to have egggs that tasted simillar with the exception of the
yoke not always being fully cooked/solid
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
I've made alot of these back in my Mc D days...the egg goes into a round teflon ring, right on the griddle..then one swipe through the egg to break the yolk..cook untill firm.toss on english muffin, or buttermilk biscuit...I make em for the kids here at home...they love em..
