Who's your favorite TV Western character

I've been watching a lot of TV Westerns lately. For whatever reason, it soothes my mother, who suffers from Alztheimer's.

The shows can be simplistic and moralistic, but I've grown to like Paladin with Richard Boone and the Virginian with James Drury.

What are your favorite Western shows, characters and stars.

Not a huge Western fan, but I recall liking "Alias Smith & Jones" and of course "Wild Wild West", which must count at least as a third of a Western lol.

Lately, really enjoying the simple "Rifleman" in Me-TV, with Chuck Conners, Paul Fix, & Johnny Crawford and also "The Big Valley" with Barbara Stanwyck & Lee Majors.

I'll watch Paul fix in anything; usually it's the cast that pulls me into a Western.

Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger, of course!

If I'm ever home during the week, I invariably get drawn into a Gunsmoke episode. It's usually from the last decade or so, and by that point, the show was ALMOST an anthology, with the main characters being on the periphery of nearly every story. Having said that, I still like Marshal Matt Dillon quite a lot.

Roy Rogers- King of the Cowboys is #1!

But going strictly TV series, Will Hutchins as Sugarfoot, the cast of F-Troop, Alias Smith & Jones, Wild Wild West.
And of course, the baddest TV cowboy of them all, SHAME!

The one and only James West. I bet he saw more breasts, thighs and legs than a cook at KFC.

"Wild, Wild West" is an untapped ReMego goldmine IMO--I'll bet "Bonanza" would do well, too.
