Has the Christmas season started at your stores?

I haven't been to Walmart, Target, etc. lately so I'm not sure if they've got their Christmas displays and holiday product out for sale yet, but the local farm store has opened their "Toyland" which is a sure sign holiday shopping is (or will be) under way... It seems like the holidays are being pushed out earlier every year, but I don't remember the "Toyland" being open this early (but I could be wrong about this)...

Are the "Holidays" starting up in your locales?

PS: "Toyland" is not an entire store onto itself, it's just a large part of the store being taken over and devoted to toys, games, etc...

My local K-mart is still pushing their Halloween crap

They have a laughable display using store mannequins as zombies.

    Actually, it's not THAT bad

I wish we still had a local K-mart...

The one on the east side of town was closed a few years ago and is still sitting there empty... The one on the west side of town was closed in July of this year and is going to be torn down...

My local B.J.'s had their Christmas stuff out this past June or July. I haven't been to my local Target, Walmart, and K-Mart since August so I'm not sure about them.

Christmas started going up the last week of September at the store where I work at. The Halloween display wasn't even finished yet.

Wal-mart was moving the lawn and garden stuff out and the Christmas stuff in last week when I was there.

The Halloween stuff had its own area in a seasonal section closer to the front.

There has been basic Christmas items out in our local stores for a few weeks now. As the summer seasonal items have been diminishing, that space has been filled with green and red Christmas totes, wrapping paper, and a few other odds and ends. By the time Halloween is over, there will be quite a bit of Christmas a few aisles over to just slide into place.

I think it's out now, but around here, it's really been dialed back from back in the late 90s or so. Christmas was put out BEFORE Halloween for several years at our local Wal-Marts.

The Home Depot closest to me has had artificial Christmas trees out for the last several weeks.

My local Walmart and Lowes have had their Christmas stuff out since September, before the Halloween merchandise was even on the shelves . . . ridiculous. A local radio personality said it best, "Santa needs to keep his fat a-- out of Halloween."
