    Lost my wedding ring...

I know it's just a piece of metal, but losing a wedding ring is some seriously bad mojo.

My wife and I wear Navajo wedding rings, which we bought when we first visited the States. That ring hadn't left my finger since I put it on. Until today. or yesterday. It had become such a part of me, I hadn't noticed until just now.
    We looked everywhere, but nothing...

Is the Universe trying to tell me something?
Last month, on the day that we said goodbye to our dog, my Native American bearclaw necklace broke and fell off.

Maybe it just means I need to get back Stateside as soon as possible....

A co-worker of mine lost his wedding ring a few months back. He noticed it missing at work, and the whole office was searching for it. We all felt very bad for him, and hoped his wife didn't kill him.

A few weeks later, he found it in a pair of pants he hadn't worn in a while. His assumption is he stuck his hand in his pocket to answer his cell phone at some point, and it came off. He didn't notice it until the next day at work.

So, good luck, and of course, look everywhere!

I lost mine while doing yard work and it took the help of a metal detector to find it. I was lucky it had sunk down in the grass a little, otherwise I very well could have gone over it with the mower.

I lost mine in January while putting away boxes of Christmas decorations. My wife bought me another one. No big whoop. Then, I found it next December while taking out the decorations. Now I have two rings.

I lost my wedding ring a while ago. After not being able to find it, my wife and I went and bought me a new one and actually had a real nice experience since it was like when we first got married. Then a couple of years later, my son found my old ring that had fell into a heating vent on the floor. However, we had so much fun buying the new one, I'm still wearing it.

I don't even wear mine...other than special occasions. I have thin fingers and it always feels like "it's there" so I just end up taking it off. Needless to say my wife hates this practice. :/

I spent the whole day retracing my steps, but no luck so far.
Unfortunately, I took out the garbage this morning, having stuffed all kinds of trash in the bag, so it might be on the way to a not-so-exotic location...

That sucks. Its especially hard to replace such a unique ring. Maybe online.

I've lost and recovered mine a few times. I can be absent-minded so I warned my wife when got married that there was a good chance I would lose it as some point.

                  She didn't buy the excuse.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't lost mine yet, it's probably only a matter of time...

I never take mine off, and it's just snug enough that I don't THINK it will fall off...but you never know.

I've lost mine briefly two or three times over the past 13 years. I really don't care for jewelry, at all (when it comes to me wearing it). So, I always take my ring off when I'm at home. However, I always wear it when I am not home. I feel a bit naked without it. Unfortunately, taking it off daily increases the risk of losing it. The one thing that I do is almost always put it in the same place when I take it off. Occasionally, I've stuck it in my pocket after I got home and forgot about it. The next morning I couldn't find it and then remembered and there I go digging for the pants in the hamper early in the morning.

the only time my ring might fall off is in the winter when I am playing out in the snow with the kids and throwing snowballs. but even then I am mindful of the fact that it is looser than normal. my dad lost his wedding ring once, found it many weeks later in the laundry pile. I am sure Rik's will show up too

Lost my first one, bought a second one off amazon for 15, lost that, bought a third off of amazon for ten, lost that one, bought an Irish one from a local store with an inscription. So far, so good.....

The ocean claimed he first, the ceramics class I teach the second, the third will always be a mystery......
