Jimi Jameson joined Survivor after Eye of the Tiger was released.
Dave Bickler sang the official released single and video of Eye of the Tiger not Jimi Jameson, but neither singer was a founding father or major songwriter for Survivor.
Both singers had joined forces in their latest concert tours.
Of course, they have been now canceled.
Jameson, damn, heart attack in his early 60s.Last edited by Hector; Sep 2, '14, 1:10 PM.sigpicComment

THe 80's had A LOT of singers that all sounded alike, and Jimi was kind of in that group of guys who were, for the most part, interchangeable. However, I really did like his stuff and hate to hear of his passing. I know their recent tour with both he and Bickler was going good and was well received. FOr those who did not see this a few years ago, here's Jimi showing off his sense of humor.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

A loss indeed. A singer of a great rock n' roll band. I keep four of their hits on my iPod and it's always a pleasure to crank the volume up to Survivor when driving. May he rest in Peace.Comment

Great singer who left us way too soon. Same age as Robin Williams. Jimi started out in a hard rock band prior to joining Survivor. IIRC, he also briefly dabbled in country music and also teamed up with the lead singer of Toto for a CD. Not a bad career, IMO. RIP, Jimi.Comment
