I'll solve your mouse and odor problem. 100% pure peppermint oil. It must be 100% pure. Put it on some cotton balls and put them around the house where you think they are. Mice hate peppermint oil for some reason. You can find it at nutrition stores because it's used to aid in digestion. Some aromatherapy places carry it also.

I hate Meeces to peices! You can fill any entry hole with steel wool. They cant chew through that. Peanut butter is the best bait for the trap. They have babies(about 9) every 60 days, which is also when they reach sexual maturity.

Man! Those are some losing statistics for me. What're they? Born pregnant? If the package does not say Steel Wool but is metal or even Copper will that not work? I bought foam to fill in the hole and fix the steel wool in place but maybe I'll go buy plaster tomorrow instead.

I have killed 3 w/traps, nearly 1 each week for 3 weeks and I think 2 have died due to starvation. I detected a funky smell in the kitchen last week. I assume that was a dead one but it aint in the stove. Probably more like under it. Just last night I notced the same smell in my bedroom-I assume another dead one. Or is the smell them pee-ing or defacating or marking territory. I also have boxes of comic books here and friends have told me don't fool around-get an exterminator. They will ruin your collection.
