    I have the mono box set and it is really nice. Also, it was mastered differently and doesn't seem to suffer from the "loudness wars" issue that the stereo set does.

    While we're on The Beatles topic: In your opinion(s), what is the best available version of "Hard Days Night" on standard DVD (or even VHS)? Or, since I'll probably get a Blu-Ray eventually, what's the best release in that format?
    Criterion recently released this film on a Blu-ray/DVD combo set and it is the definitive version at this point.


    I really hope the Let It Be film comes out someday. Right now I just have a version transferred from the laser disc and it is sorely lacking. The film was remastered, parts of it (mostly some of the rooftop concert) were shown in the Beatles Anthology series and it looked so much better. A high def release with tons of outtake footage would be a dream come true.
