Every time I hear someone speak of Fantasy Football... what I picture is a group of LARPers playing touch football. A guy dressed as a LOTR elf playing quaterback. A fat dude dressed like Henry the 8th standing in the corner eating a giant turkey leg barking orders. A group of chicks dressed as wenches giving saucy cheers on the sideline.

Yes, it's a typical Ren-Faire nerf game in my head.
