Does anybody know anything about old wristwatches ?

    Hi guys,

I found this watch helping cleaning out my cousin's garage

He said he has no idea where it came from but he told me to keep it

I'm sure just the fact I've touched it means it's worthless

Box says --- MM Brand of Fine Watches -- the same thing is written on the back of the watch

says, Swiss Movt on the bottom of the dial

    say's, jeweled below dial

When I try to wind it the hands go around in a strange manner - prob needs repair

box seems to be made of an old thick cardboard (or perhaps real wood) covered with some sort of vinyl ?

anybody know if it has any value

    thanks

Don't know if that is the same MM brand.

The big thing would be to pop it open and see the markings on the movement inside.

Is it a Swiss winding movement, auto winding or quartz? Any good watch shop should be able to give you far more detail once they look inside.

I can tell you that you have not found the Action Comics #1 of vintage watches. Other brands are definitely more sought after.

Let me know if you want me to dig further. I'll just need some higher def pictures and I can ask some of my other watch collecting buddies.
