I seen a dead bald eagle

Was stuck in traffic on the local super-highway and seen what I could swear as a dead bald eagle laying with some trash along side the road.

Guessing a truck hit him somehow

I've seen them around here so it is possible

Just wondering, is this something that should be reported or is he no different than a dead roadside deer, bear etc ?

as far as I know they are off the endangered list. plus it is already dead so what can anyone do other than bury or burn the corpse. sad to hear though as they are majestic creatures

Here in Ontario (Canada) bald eagles have started to return and nest. I know they are monitored here but that is because they are rare for us. I'm not sure they are endangered as a whole. We also have peregrine falcons here in our city that nest at the top of a hotel downtown. There's even a video feed of their little domain. They control the pigeons somewhat and I've actually seen them hunting. One time I was near their hotel/nest and I found a dead one. It looked pretty young and probably hit a window or wall. I reported to the hotel security who contacted the folks that monitor the peregrines. I think they came and collected it. It was a really beautiful bird up close.
Don't mean to ramble, I'm just a bit of a birder at times when no one is looking.

I drive a fuel truck in northern Ontario and there are lots of them up this way. They have really made a dramatic comeback in recent years. Always sad to hear of a dead one though. Its a beautiful bird for sure.
