    Explain this dream to me!

This is what was in my dream last night:

It's a contest of sorts, where contestants wheel around a rabbit.
The rabbit is lying flat on its back, on some sort of low flat cart on wheels. The people push this cart around.
The rabbit is lying with all four legs in the air, holding onto the vertical part of the cart, which is like the steering wheel for a bike.
It's not dead (it's not even resting), now and then it peeks around, then closes its eyes again real quick.
The people push the cart, completing a circuit littered with lettuce and carrots, all only an inch or two from the rabbit's nose.
Object of the game seems to be that the rabbit needs to completely ignore all these treats and keep playing "dead", not matter how close they get to a tasty leaf of lettuce, and (fairly slowly) complete the whole circuit.

    Explain this to me, please!!!!

Rabbit in a dream means you're subconsciously horny

Everything else in the dream is just window dressing created by a horny brain

Sounds a lot like moderating a toy board.

Dream imagery is entirely subjective (after all, it came out of the deepest recesses of your head) so the more appropriate question is to ask YOU: what do the dream images seem to be telling YOU? The rabbit and game show theme seem unique, so what do these particular things remind you of, or what incidents in the past few days are brought to mind because of the FEELINGS or EMOTIONS evoked in the course of the dream?

Dream analysis usually discusses the placement of Jungian archetypes within the dream -- such as the handlebars represent control, perhaps of the spinning cart -- but unless you are experiencing a pregnancy scare/decision ( rabbits supposedly represent fertility, so the handlebars and multiple contestants takes us down a very odd road -- is your biological clock ticking and you feel the urgent need to start a family?), it is always best to contemplate the events and current pressures/choices you are facing, and see if your dream gives you any insight on how your subconscious is attempting to sort things out for your waking self.

For instance, if rabbits do not represent fertility TO YOU, then it is unlikely that your brain is giving you such a message. Perhaps your mind is attempting to decide where to spend next Easter? Are we to assume it was a white rabbit? Perhaps you are wondering which Alice in Wonderland movie to watch or -- to take an extreme leap (and employing a Jefferson Airplane reference) -- are you struggling with a drug problem? The rabbit could simply represent a cuddly animal (are you trying to decide whether to rewatch Guardians of the Galaxy next time in SD or 3D?) or even an issue regarding Manscaping ("hare" = "hair").

So... YOU tell us. And now I am curious.

          Wow!
          So many good points!

          Let's see.
My wife is 58, so a pregnancy scare would really be...scary. Let me put your mind (and mine) at ease...not going to happen!

I hate Alice in Wonderland, so it's not that.

No drugs problems at all. I have plenty...

          Little or no body hair...

But one point in your post does make me think.
I'll get back to it, once I've heard more explanations. Maybe there are better ones out there...

The "contest" is a race. The 'Rabbit race' could actually mean The Rat Race.
You are "spinning your wheels" in this "Rat Race" and you don't feel you are in total control but being "steered" by others.
You think about the "ups and downs" of your life, you want the Carrot or "reward/prize"(money) but feel powerless and also guilty because you can't or are unsure how to get all the "rewards" you need.
Basically you have alot of worries right now, you seek answers and closure to your "rewards" problem in the hopes that will finally bring you some Peace of Mind.

You shouldn't sleep with an open can of paint thinner next to your bed.

You are the rabbit. You're supposed to ride through town naked in your carrot wagon screaming about the invisible lettuce gnomes that are chasing you. You will then be tasered and taken to a nice facility to relax and unwind while playing UNO and watching Muppet Babies with "Sticky" Steve, Dingles and the Mashed Potato King.

I think it means you're late for a very important date!!!
                          No time to stay,hello,goodbye.....you're late,you're late,you're late.

I really think you should ask Alice what the door mouse said.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

All of a sudden, my dream seems like something totally normal.
Your brain, on the other hand, is on fire...
Could I suggest some calming tea?

But I think you're right, I am the rabbit, I think.
I feel have no control, being wheeled along many, many temptations (toys, DVDs, you name it). I have to pretend not to want them, not to see them, even though I do.
Yet control is mine for the taking, all I need to do is let go of the cart and move away. Nothing is forcing me to be on this ride but myself.

Now that I know myself, the world is my oyster!
The hills are alive, with the sound of Jungian archetypes...

                            Now where's that calming tea?
                            .
