Happy Easter -- and what do you got to eat ?

Happy Easter, so what do you got to eat today ?

My Easter meal is very traditional for a Polish/American in my area.
Been eating it every Easter for 42 years now.

I got some ham (not canned),

2 kinds of kielbasa --- both smoked and fresh (white and red)

Plenty of red beet/horseradish to put on the ham and kielbasa.

Hard boiled eggs, of course --- and most will turn into deviled eggs by tomorrow.

    Potato salad...

    How 'bout you ?

None of my close relatives live nearby so we're having Turkey dinner at my good friends place. The kids got chocolate, drawing pads and some toys.

We are having kale, tandoori chicken, mashed potatoes, bbq'd flank steak, rice pilau, lumpia shanghai. For dessert we have a chocolate rum cake from Dianda's Italian bakery of San Francisco and scratch baked yellow cake for the kids. Oh yes...and Mitchell's ice cream, but I don't know which tropical flavor...probably mango, coconut, halo halo, or ube--it's still enroute and I told my sister to surprise us.

With my family, we had ham, lamb, mashed potatoes, creamed corn(not one of my favorites), red beets and eggs and spinach salad. And for every holiday meal, we always start with fruit salad - not the canned stuff. We chop up all kinds of fresh fruit. The only canned thing is usually peaches, for the juice. There was also cake, but my hubby and I didn't take any, because we had a second meal to go to.
With my inlaws, there was more ham, rice-n-beans, spinach and artichoke bake, scalloped potatoes, and pineapple stuffing. And lots of Pepto Bismol.

I hope you all have had a happy Easter, today.

Normally, I have ham or roasted pork shoulder at my mother-in-law's, but this year she made a very tender pot roast. It was delicious!
