Losing my taste for McDonalds, too...

I don't know what's in MickeyDs, but about 20 minutes after I eat it I feel crummy & want a nap.

Has anyone here seen the Morgan Spurlock documentary Supersize Me?

the golden arches have fallen. There was a consumer poll lately that put McD's at the bottom of the barrel.

If I have to choose fast food, my first local choice would be Ray's, a teeny tiny walk-up here in town. If I had to choose a national fast food burger chain, Wendy's would be the lesser of the evils. More to the point, it is unusual for us to have fast food more than once every couple months. It is usually this time of the year when we are busy on the farm that we grab fast food on a break from the harvester.

^^^ Yes and i stopped eating McDonalds for quite a while after that.

I think Burger King has the worst burger - i hate the 'flame broiled' taste. I like their breakfast sandwiches tho.

DQ is my worst. BK is also pretty bad, but I'll do a Whopper Jr (no mayo) in a pinch - the veggies overpower the bad tastes. Actually, I don't even think their buns are very good. I'll do a McD's Quarter Pounder once in a while, and a Big Mac on even rarer occasion, but the rest of their menu doesn't do it for me.

I do like the Jr Deluxe burger from Wendy's with lettuce, tomato & onion only. Also, their Jr Bacons are pretty good with no cheese or mayo. They use good ingredients; just need to find the combos you like.

Actually I love Burger King. The afore mentioned Kwik Way, (before it changed management) was bar none THE WORST BURGER I'd even eaten!

Man, I haven't had a DQ burger in over 20 years. I liked them then but have no idea if I still would. Not a huge fan of Wendy's burgers, but their chicken burgers are pretty good, plus I like the fact that I can get a baked potato instead of fries, the only major burger chain that offers that. In Canada, my favourite burger chain is Harveys, good burgers and fried apple pies like McDonalds used to have.

Mcdonalds is just atrocious. Unfortunately living in a very small town my fast food options are mcdonalds, subway or KFC.

All of the fast-food joints have their pluses and minuses to me.

I've never thought McDonalds hamburgers tasted like a hamburger. It just tastes like McDonalds. But the taste is consistent and their burgers aren't messy if you have to eat on the run. The major reason ever to stop at McDonald is the fries.

Wendy's burgers are dry and really bad if not eaten right away, but with cheeses and all the vegetables I can stomach it if they are hot.

Burger King does have that aftertaste mentioned by by someone earlier and way too much bun. I prefer their junior sized burgers for the lack of huge bun.

I actually like Sonic, but have had a cold one now and then that made me wish I had gone elsewhere.

If I go to Dairy Queen, I just get a Blizzard or a milkshake.

BackYard Burgers and Hardee's have the best fast-food burgers by far to me with BackYard the clear leader, but both are also more expensive than the others.

The Wendy's Pretzel Burger that just came back. I liked it well enough the first go-round but the cheese sauce this time is just over kill.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever eaten a burger at DQ. I just always get ice cream if I ever go there.

McD's burgers are not meaty enough (although I do like the Bacon Clubhouse). I can't stand Hardee's burgers but I have to add I haven't eaten at one in years.

When I was in high school, Hardee's tried to make a go of it around here by building four in our area. I left my first job at Wendy's for 50 cents more an hour (which was an amazing increase in early 1980s teenager terms) at Hardee's. Even as a teenager, you couldn't have paid me to eat there. I think that was the opinion of everyone else also. They lasted about three years before all four restaurants closed down. Arby's later bought the buildings.

^Hardee's rebranded themselves a few years back, and actually make a decent burger now. If it's pipin hot, it's pretty good.

I like Wendy's burgers. I've never had a dry one myself. Used to love their Spicy Chicken, but now THAT is always dry when I get it. I've kind of written it off.

Never really cared much for Burger King. Most Burger Kings around here always seem run down and dirty.

I actually like McD's cheapie burgers, like the McDouble, etc. over the Quarter Pounder. The little patties taste better and more beefy. The quarter pounder now tastes like reconstituted sawdust to me.

I also prefer the simple Micky Dees burgers and cheeseburgers over their signature ones like the Big Mac and Quarter Pounder. I usually get the McDouble, it's only $1.50, and it's a tasty little sucker. I also just tried their new McDouble Jalapeno burger, only $2, and also pretty good. Not a bad burger if you are watching your weight either, the McDouble only has 390 calories...compare that to the big giant Carl's Jr burgers, some can clock 1000 calories or more, yikes, lol.

I'm a Mickey Dees semi-regular, what can I say, lol.

Also have to with McDonald's, hate the onions. My grandparents used to take my cousins and I there when we visited and I don't remember what I did prior to the introduction of Chicken McNuggets.
