    a Good Burger.

I'm a total sucker for a Good Burger and always on the hunt.

where can you get a Good Burger in your neck of the woods?

This is from Utopia, located on College Street in Toronto's Little Italy. "The Barnyard"... one patty beef, one patty lamb and one patty bison. with crispy onions. served on egg bread.

on tuesdays, you can upsize your fries to Poutine for free. washed down with Hank's Black Cherry soda.

    ^ That's a good looking burger!

Where I work, in lower Manhattan, there is a place called "Burger Burger." The burgers there are really good and it's a popular place. However, a burger with fries is over $10. And, the burger isn't very big. The same goes for "Shake Shack"...good place, but way over priced for what it is.

In saying that, there is a place called Hanover Deli close to the job, as well. They use Angus beef and the patties are huge (larger than the circumference of the bun) and thin. The deluxe (with fries) is $7.50. They place the buns on the griddle, as well (that's maybe what every place does). It's nothing fancy, but he main thing is the burger is great.

That is a good looking burger.

I generally like a large thick burger, but I just ate at a Freddy's for the first time this weekend. Their steak burgers are similar to Steak N' Shakes...but 100 times better! Their little, crispy shoestring fries and fry sauce are the bomb too. Then you get to the frozen custard...!!!

One patty of beef is more than enough for me on a burger.
            I don't think I could stomach three.

I do like the crispy buns, absolutely hate the doughy, soggy ones...

It's a damn shame but around here the best burger is (like in the fish and chips thread) found in my kitchen. It's not to brag or boast but the restaurants around here are either 1. the usual fast food joints or 2. a very bland Mom and Pop. Sadly there really aren't any "burger" places around here anymore. We've got a ton of Mexican and Pizza joints but no hamburger places. It's as if they all gave up to the mainstay fast food places.

Jim, if you ever make it over to Fayetteville, try Hugo's, Grubb's or J.J.'s Grill. They're all three really good.

Hugo's is my favorite but Sports Illustrated named Grubb's the best college-town burger joint/bar in the nation two years ago.

I have yet to find an equal to Five Guys, but I'm always looking and always keep an open mind when a beef patty and a bun are being discussed.

In N Out is better than Five Guys.

Five Guys is new in California, just tried my first a couple of years ago, it was good, but still like In N Out better.

In N Out is cheaper too.

My own personal opinion of course, as many others will side with you, of course, ha.

The True Burger, were the Oakland Mini Mego Meet was held, pretty tasty burgers too.

The small regional burger chain here in the Bay Area, Nation's Giant Burgers, off da chain, great burgers.

Nah, I don't want bloody lamb or any other dead animal in my burger other than good old fashioned cow beef, I'm a narrow-minded traditionalist when it comes to burgers...you won't believe all the hipster crap they serve here in California, tofu burgers in beet mango salsa, serve on wheat pita, with asparagus fries, all washed down with habiscus tea, please, get outta here with that pretentious crap, lol. Give me a fat 80-20 ground beef patty, regular buns, regular french fries, onions, sliced pickles, lettuce, ketchup/mustard, american cheese (or cheddar)...and all washed down by a Coke Zero Cherry flavor, and I'm a happy man, lol. I like both pan seared and grilled, it's all good.

I'm like the Dos Equis guy...I don't always have bacon, but when I do, crispy those suckers please, lol.

There aren't any of those further east than Texas, so I'll trust you on that one. Now, does anyone know about Jack in the Box? There's one in the area maybe 35 miles away. Worth the trip?
