Like Evel K Mego mentioned, "A League Of Their Own" was filmed in Evansville and that's my home town. Some other scenes, such as the one in the gym when the girl hits the ball through the window, were shot in New Harmony, Indiana. That's 40 miles outside of Evansville. My parents live there.

Parts of the original X-Men movie, Billy Madison and The Hurricane with Denzel Washington were filmed here in Oshawa, Ontario.... There are more, but I cannot think of them at the moment. A popular site for filiming is Col. R.S. Mcglaughlin's mansion here in Oshawa...he's the gent who basically brought General Motors to Canada. His home is now a tourist attraction and was used as Xavier's school for Gifted Youngsters in X-Men 1.

Shaun of the dead was filmed extensively around my part of London (crouch end), in fact the windows to the immediate right above the shop that Simon Pegg goes into ( coke and cornetto) was my old bedsit. Also the film Love, Honour and Obey was filmed in crouch end and the pub used used to be a regular drinking venue for me and my buds.

Right next to me were parts to the Blair Witch Project.

Since I also live in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area there are too many to name but will mention the movie Ladder 49 which was filmed in Baltimore. The priest of the Catholic Church that I attend played the priest in the film.

He said John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix were both very nice people to work with.

Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
              Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

They have some strange names for the towns up around Lancaster. The funniest is "Intercourse". Walk into any souvenir shop and you can imagine the tourist shirts you'll see referencing this town.

Let's see, I live outside Philly, so I'm not going to count anything shot downtown. I think the stuff shot closest to my home town is the original 50s Blob, TAPS, and parts the upcoming M. Night Shamaylan film 'The Happening.' I'm told that 'The Village' set was just over the hill from the office of my current job, too.

They actually just closed down the diner that the Blob munched on.

                    Filmed in Wichita, Kansas:

Parts of "Tombstone", "Little House on the Prairie", "Sarah, Plain and Tall", "C.S.A.", and a whole host of movies and made for TV Old West movies - One of our museums is a 100 acre collection of Old West buildings and an adjacent 19th century farm called "Cowtown". It's a popular site for filming westerns and documentaries, the last of which was by an old friend of mine from WSU. I met Christopher Walken while he was in town for the filming of a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, entirely by accident. There's usually an ad in the paper about every other month for auditions for extras.

"Darkness" - a horror flick entirely filmed in Wichita, written, edited, and directed by my wife's High School boyfriend, Leif Jonker. Besides being a horror film director, writer, and special effects creator (his stuff on "Surface" was awesome), Leif's also a Mego fan.

"Mars Attacks" - the retirement home that gets trashed in the film is up on the north end of town. Leif worked on Tim Burton's crew though I didn't actually know him at the time. It was pretty awesome to see filming, and not just because I ditched out of a few classes at nearby WSU to do it.

"King Kung Fu" - a cult film about King Kong and Kung Fu, filmed entirely in Wichita.
