I wish Clint Walker was a 1960's Superman

I was watching a Lucy Show were Lucy got to know this burly construction worker. His look and build just reminded me of Superman all the way. How I wish there was an attempt at a 1960's Superman with him.

Wasn't he in a western with Burt Reynolds? Or am I thinking of someone else?

For some reason I read this initially as Clint Howard! But yes, Clint Walker would have been ideal.

Cheyenne was a great show and I've always thought this too. Go catch him in the Dirty Dozen, too.

If you have Encore Western channel, it started playing Cheyenne at 6 pm central last week.

I always thought Clint would have been an awesome Conan the Barbarian in an adaption of "Beyond the Black River." And it just dawned on me, but I've seen pictures where he looks a bit like a bigger, buffer Jon Hamm.

Clint Walker always reminds me of Gary Cooper --- the way he acts, not looks

I started watching it last week and have been enjoying it. He would have looked good in a Superman costume.

In the TwoMorrows book, The Krypton Companion, there was a roundtable discussion of Superman creators, and they were asked who could have played Supes in the 60s. The unanimous vote was Clint Walker.

I re-watched The Dirty Dozen a month or so ago, and I would agree.
