Our daughter shows minor signs. Seeing someone bite their nails sends her into orbit.

My brother in law has CDO. It's a lot like OCD except the letter are alphabetical as they should be.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I think people misuse the term a lot. Theres the "did I lock the door?" thoughts on the way to work, and then there's the "I'm almost at work but I better turn the car around and make sure the oven's not on even though I didn't use the oven today" actions. If it's not actually effecting your life it's probably not OCD.

Kinda surprised this thread didn't get more replies

I always thought OCD and collecting went somewhat together (don't ask me why)

I have mild OCD. Nothing that affects my daily life, but it gets bad when I'm cleaning and rearranging my collection room. Straightness is a big issue with me.

I find myself counting when doing repetitive things but that's a pattern that's almost something I did to myself rather then OCD. Of course there's always the occasional "did I close/lock the door" stuff but nothing serious.

I may be a tad picky about certain things, but I don't have OCD.

                      It's interesting having OCD.

You can sit here and think --- If you sell this Mego you will probably die horribly, but know it's not really going to happen.

Looking at it from the outside in it's quite fascinating how your own brain can play tricks on you

I need to check that no taps are dripping and that the fridge is closed securely before I can go to bed.

ocd can be debilitating it's way worse than just being particular or picky. it usually exhibits as a pattern the person can't break. My son is autistic and has ocd as well not only is everything in his life a pattern if I don't put the blankets on his bed in the right order he literally can't lay down till they're right.

I know, right?! I almost quoted every message in this thread back to each person with spelling and grammar corrections. Everything must be in order!
But seriously folks, I've had it really bad most of my life. Drove me to drink. It doesn't drive me to collect, but it is a huge part of how I collect.
