So happy the Kings won. Both Quick and Lundqvist made some unbelievable saves in that series. After all those game 7's and overtimes, that cup must have felt a little heavier to lift in the end.
WHooopppeee..the NHL still sucks....miss the Good ol hockey days .....
as someone who still has my royal blue Dave Taylor jersey I am happy for the kings and the second in less than 5 years but that said does LA really care?
Those overtime loses in the first 2 games did NY in. Bad bounces and breaks for NY at every crucial moment. How many posts/crossbars did they hit when it was overtime. To many, horrible sound if your a Rangers fan. They should have won both of those. LA just doesn't know how to loose no mater what the score or series is at. Congrats to LA!
Lundquist did everything he possibly could... But in the end LA was just Pardon the Pun "Bigger Stronger and Faster" than the Rangers. Even when they were behind and in the loss they dominated play... you cant take on 40 to 50 shots a night and win... Rangers did NY proud but "Hail to the Kings"...

L.a. probably doesn't care...but Gary BuTTman does ....lost all interest in the NHL after the last walk out lockout or whatever it wAs!!!!!

As a Bruins fan all those post and crossbar hits really hurt, if half of the one Boston had against Montreal went in they would have won the series.
I've got to say that while LA probably would have won the Cup anyways there were a couple of bad calls by the refs that turned the momentum in a couple of games in favor of LA. There needs to be a coaches challenge rule added to the game. Having challenges hasn't Football or Tennis and with the speed that things happen these days on the ice it would help everyone feel that things were call fair - my 2 cents.
Funny how as a Devils fan I hated the Kings a few years ago but this year was one of their biggest East Coast fans. Any team can win in the NHL, so long as its not the Rangers.
"Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."
