Beyond shocked and saddened. He was always such a nice guy. One of the first persons I met when I got into this hobby and was always more than helpful. Thoughts and prayers going out to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to here this news. I got a phone call from a good friend telling me Ahmed had passed.
I have known Ahmed for many years and considered him a friend. I know he rubbed some people the wrong way sometimes.
Mainly because he was opinionated and passionate about custom megos and Flatts. But I loved his passion for custom megos and megos.
His collection blew me away years ago when I first seen it.
Quick story about my friendship with Ahmed.
I remember way back when I first started building customs years ago.
I only knew of Ahmed as a Flatt collector.
I asked him to rate one of my first figures I ever made publicly.
He gave me a 6 out of 10. lol
The belts too big, I don't like the cape, emblem too small....lol He said.
Remember I asked.
Then a friend said does that bother you he said that. I said no not really. Ahmed has a good eye for collecting and to get a 6 out of 10 with a first years build. That was like a 10 for me coming from him.
I took it as a complement.
Later on when my work improved.
He would once and a while threw out the years send me a email on how he liked my work and thought it had gotten a lot better.
We started to talk on the phone from time to time.
And became friends.
I really enjoyed his enthusiasm and love for customs.
He truly loved the custom figures and megos.
But I had the most fun talking to him about family and food.
We would talk 2 hours about soup sometimes and other times we would just talk about tomatoes.
We also talked about custom figures.
I was very sad to see he had passed and he to me was a important part of the history of custom figures.
I will miss him dearly.
I normally keep to my self but I wanted to pay my respect to a good guy. I will miss his passion and love for custom and him as a friend.Last edited by Captain_Mego; Jun 16, '14, 7:59 PM.Comment

Mna, so sad to hear about this . . .Praying for all concerned . . .
Guys it has been 3 yrs since I had my heart attack . . . . you don't have to be old, over weight and eat crap to have a heart attack . . . I was running 15-20 miles a week when I had mine, eating well, etc. You owe it to your family to have a heart health check up as it can happen at anytime with out any warning at all. Guys much healthier than anyone reading this are turning burning one second and lying blue faced on the floor the next . . . . hate to be so curt but that's the truth of it. PLEASE get this done, don't be the next Ahmed. My Custom Figures

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes to his family and friends. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment
