I'm not a kid, so can't speak for your daughter...but it's rated PG, not PG-13, so take that into consideration...I personally found it mild, but what do I know...I'm neither a parent or child.
To me, the overall movie was okay...but Angelina Jolie herself was mesmerizing, she's awesome in almost any role she plays. Not only is she beautiful, but she's a great actress as well.Last edited by Hector; Jun 9, '14, 7:50 PM.sigpicComment

Well, my niece is 34,but there were plenty of kids in the audience and I didn't hear any crying or screaming. While there are some parts that are a little intense, I really wouldn't have a problem taking a grade school child to see this movie.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

I would say that it has almost the exact same "scare factor" as say last year's Oz the Great and Powerful or the live-action Alice in Wonderland. As a matter of fact, with all the CGI, all these movies really look and feel about the same in tone.
I took my older daughters who are Disney fans and they loved it. But to better inform you, I would guess that some of the battle scenes with large tree creatures and a dragon might be the closest thing to scary for a little kid. It seemed to me to really be geared for Disney princess-loving kids.Comment
