In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

            He will be missed.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
            Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

I remember back in the 80's they had been talking about making a movie of Childhood's End. That book is great science fiction. Sad news.
              It's all good!

"Childhood's End" is one of my all-time favorite works. I kept hoping for more books from him, but between his age and his lifelong complications from Polio I'm sure it was just too much. I, for one, will miss him. R.I.P., Sir Arthur.

While 90 is a good age to check out, I will miss A.c.c., one of my favorite authors. R.I.P
