Saw my first episode of Breaking Bad yesterday...

    NO SPOILERS, PLEASE!!!!!
(just added this request to the start of the thread )

I was too late to start watching the first time around, but our local station is showing it one episode a day all through the summer.
So I thought," yep, I'm in!"

Great show, it's actually very funny at times.
I've avoided all spoilers for a long time now, so I'm in for a great ride, I think.

I like the fact that it's about an average middle-age guy, he's nothing special, and the way how good people end up doing not-so-great things...

And now, if you'll excuse me, I have some cooking to do in my camper van...

Binge-watching is the only way to go with BB. I finished all 5 seasons in about two weeks.

I concur. If you can obtain (beg, borrow or steal) the DVDs, your enjoyment will be greatly enhanced by watching marathons of the show. Warning: it is as addictive (ironically!) as methamphetamine.

Just to share -- I had a particularly difficult time watching the show due to the fact that my son is the "twin separated at birth" of Aaron Paul. Worse yet: the character Jesse talks, dresses, acts and reacts very similar to my kid. And all this is made all the more difficult because Aaron Paul is such an absolutely believable and excellent actor. Thus, whenever the character Jesse suffers on screen (no spoilers -- but you will see what I mean), I find it exceptionally difficult to bear. Nonetheless, this is perhaps the BEST TELEVISION SHOW EVER.

At Dragoncon a few years ago, my son costumed as Jesse. I had grown out my goatee and shaved my head (and had a spare hazmat suit) to do a complimentary "Heisenberg," but this is one of the only photos I have of him wearing the costume --

Many fans don't even realize it's a dark comedy...so I'm not surprised you found it funny at times, lol.

Absolutely LOVE the show...have seen the entire series TWICE now...that's how much I love it.

I myself was a late viewer as well...as I started watching it on Netflix...I only caught the first run AMC telecasts when it was already on its fourth season.

Glad you are watching it now...it gets better...and better.

AMC showed the entire series around New Years and I had several days off, and I was glued to the TV.

                What an excellent show!

They should just start showing it again, I'm sure it would pull the ratings in again.

Love, love, love this show. I never had the chance to binge watch other than the first season, because I started watching the show when the second season was airing. Man, it was TOUGH having to wait a week between episodes, and many months between seasons! Man, you binge watchers are lucky! I think I'll start watching these for the second time, I'm sure they hold up well.

The was really taken out of context and exaggerated on the internet. He basically didn't say that. A goofy reporter asked if he was really dead, and he made a quip about us never seeing him in a body bag. It wasn't even remotely serious.

Please be a bit more discreet in your answer....post a spolier alert...some just started watching it, and don't know what happens as of yet...that's why I took steps to do just that.
