    Kirk's Enterprise could actually have used Tapes!

    I saw this article today and it made me think that 60's Trek might not be all that outdated if Sony's new Cassette Tape storage system takes off.

        That's pretty cool! (says the girl who still uses tapes and a Walkman!).

        And BTW...I'm waiting for the transporter and holideck to be invented.

          Thats neat. Does this mean movies and modern-era games could be held on tape? Imagine the loading times

            Anyone remember the DAT format from the mid 1990's? I could see radio and TV stations using this format to backup their audio/video archives in case their hard drives take a dump.
