I'm happy to say, everyone I ever met was super-cool, but I have a tendency to never act like a fan when I meet famous people.
I treat them like they're just a regular person.

    example:
    "Hey what's up"
"you were allright in Star Wars"

Celebs love it when you don't act like a fan.

    Secret:
Most celebs HATE their own fans ...

Well, I was a little disappointed that in the mother of all mother Star Trek conventions way back in 1988 (all the crew member of both original and TNG were there), that William Shatner seemed a bit high and mighty. The vast majority of the actors stuck around and talked to the fans, even Leonard Nimoy. But as soon as Shatner finished his stage speech, he went out the back with bodyguards faster than a speeding bullet, like we smelled or something, lol.

And most don't like it when you walk up to them and say "hey, aren't you Steve Guttenberg?" (Even Steve Guttenburg won't admit that's who he is)

Although all of my live encounters have been positive, some of the MySpace ones haven't. There's one who for whatever reason answers my messages, but won't add me to the comments section. There's another one who told me to keep in touch, but refuses to reply to my messages. Oh well...

I thought I would share this experience with you Palitoy. In 1994 I attended a convention in Lexington, KY appropriately called "Lex-Trek". The guests were Mark Goodard ("Don" from Lost in Space), the actor who played Chekov (can't think of his name right now), and David Prowse (aka. nameless costume actor fortunate to wear the Vador outfit). Mark Goodard was a very nice and engaging person at this show and alot of the fans lined up to get his autograph. Scores lined up for "Mr. Chekov" who didn't make any effort to disguise the fact he was bored and tired. But alone at a table with exactly NO ONE asking for his autograpgh (and I do mean no one) was David Prowse. At one point the sponsors got on microphone and asked for fans who had a considerable wait for the other celebrities to take time to visit Mr. Prowse. That was the first and only time I've ever seen a guest at a convention completely ignored by a room filled to the brim with fans. It was clearly a reflection on the decline of the Star Wars brand which was still living off the original trilogy at that point and long before the next three injected new life into the franchise. Just wanted you to know he certainly had some lean years during his gravy train ride. You know, I have never completely understood the fanhood towards costume actors. What exactly do you say to them? "I liked the way you shook your finger at that Imperial guard. What was your motivation?" I don't know. I think they get more hype than their contribution deserves. Not all cases, because Ben Chapman deserved his fame from Creature, but I don't see where Dave did much more than take direction from Lucas off camera - "Point here. Shake your head in approval. Clinch your fist."

It wasn't him! He doesn't have a MySpace. And all of the times I've met and spoken w/ Shaun (4), he's always been sweet and always remembered me.
