    Fuel Tanker Truck

truck.jpg I just wanted to post this picture because a few members in here have asked about my job. I drive on the ice roads in northern ontario in the winter time. My truck is 81 feet long and has 30 tires. When fully loaded ( 62,500 litres ) it weighs in at 125 tons. To hear the ice cracking as you drive over it is not fun to say the least.

The TV show glamourizes this job. It is anyhting but that. Its a lot of very long hours in brutualy cold conditions. Our coldest day this season was Jan 28th when the high for the day was - 61.
