One that really sticks out for me - around '93 or so I am in Boston working for my company in our Boston office and I'm going to be there for about 11 months. So the really sweet lady I was riding the train with into town each morning asked me to have dinner with her and her husband one night. I, of course, say yes. I go, we have tacos, play pool and hang out. Well, Nancy Kerrigan's (the skater) name came up. She was about to get married up there then and was in the papers most all the time. I made a comment about her looks and said something like you can only see teeth when she smiles. Well, the couple I'm having dinner with is Nancy Kerrigans cousins. I was beyond embarassed. I did apologize and we became good friends but it was a lesson learned and to this day I never talk bad about other people. You just don't know who you are talking too.

With the car rolling forward, I dove at it and mashed the brake with one hand, then threw it out of gear with the other. We finally head on to prom (a police office had seen the whole thing). Once there, I think we danced to two songs and left after I got into a fight with my best friend.

I'm taking her back to her place and as we pull out of the lot we discover that the police are following people who leave the prom. OK, I'm rattled already and now I've got a police officer right behind me. Needless to say, we get pulled over for suspected DUI (I was stone-cold sober, by the way).

After about thirty years (at least it seemed like it) I got her back to her place and headed home. Smoothed things over with my friend the next day and we still hang out pretty often. As for the girl? Well, I never called her again. I've got enough bad luck on my own without her adding to it.
dude you didn't get any on your prom night? LOL! that sucks good story

Grade school- Everytime I ever had to talk to a pretty girl or get up infront of the class.
thanks for making me relive that in my head. All that therapy out the window in one thread.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I always thought Nancy Kerrigan was stunning. I know a lot of people used to say things about her teeth but to me it never detracted from her beauty. Of course, I might have a different opinion if I met her since I don't know what type of personality she has but to me she is very attractive.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Nancy Kerrigan is "stunning"...but she's not bad.
