What was your favorite breakfast cereal(s) as a kid?

    Some of mine were:

    Freakies
    Kellogs Frosted Flakes
    Apple Jacks
    Fruit Loops
    Kaboom
    Trix
    Lucky Charms
    Sugar Crisp
    Sugar Smacks

I like most kids especially liked the cereal with the neat toys inside the box. That was when they used to put cool things inside the cereal boxes. NOW for the most part you have to buy multiple boxes, send off and wait months to get your little prize.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Too much space. Need more toys!

Cocoa Peebles and Fruity Peebles forsure and of course Frosted Flakes. I've still got a few of the plasctic coin holders that look like fred and dino's head and a small frisbee with dino on it that were from the boxes in the early and mid 70s.

Shredded wheat. Not mini-wheats - but the kind without sugar that looked like a matted pillow of hay. mmmmmmmm......memories.

Long list coming! (and I do eat some of this stuff today!)

                      Kaboom
                      King Vitamin
                      Sir Grapefellow
                      Baron Von Red Berry
                      Quisp
Apple Jacks (still like this one)
                      Honeycomb
                      Alpha Bits
                      Puffa Puffa Rice
Sugar Smacks, Super Sugar Crisp (pretty much the same thing)
Cocoa Pebbles/Fruity Pebbles (love these still!)
Trix/Fruit Loops/Moonstones (again, pretty much the same)
                      Coco Puffs
                      Corny Snaps
                      Frosted Rice
                      Frosty-O's
Cap'n Crunch (crunch berries, Peanut butter crunch)
                      Jean Le Feet Cinnamon Crunch
Monster cereals (although the Count was my fave!)
                      Cookie Crisp (chocolate chip)
                      Frosted Flakes

As far as healthy cereals I liked:
Buc-Wheats (until my mom found out I was supplementing the syrup flavor w/ my own syrup, then she just bought 40% Bran Flakes and let me put syrup in it)

                      Aspen (granola type)
                      Quaker Granola
                      Cream Of Rice
                      Quaker Instant Oatmeal
                      Raisin Bran
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I am with you on that note. I to am not afraid to admit that I still eat some of my favorites today. I just had a bowl of Trix this morning. Had to get my sugar fix in you know. I still search the cereal aisles hoping to find a good premium trinket or two advertised on the cereal boxes of today. Some things we as adults never out grow.

                          Honeycomb...

                          BIG, BIG BIG BITE!!!

That was indeed my favorite cereal, they were my favorite cereal commercials as well, lol.

However now as an adult, I can't eat that stuff anymore, I can't stand sweet cereals. Now I like to eat plain Corn Flakes, Wheaties, and plain Cheerios...but I like to dress them up with sliced bananas and blue berries.
