How do you like your pizza ?

For me, growing up in Joisey, it's gotta be New York.
The thinner, the better.

To me, Chicago style is just lasagna with bread instead of pasta.

My family is from Brooklyn, so if the pizza doesn't have grease running down your arm as you eat it, it ain't pizza. I've learned to appreciate all types. My gripe is that when I was younger, sausage on pizza used to be more like slices than the little "meat raisins" that you get now.

I got a couple mom and pop places by me that still make it the old way.

I never go to chain pizza places-- aka Dominos, Pizza Hut etc.

New york style for sure. Growing up in Ct thats all we had. I didn't realize crappy pizza existed until I left. Everything else is a pretender. You guys are right, crumbly sausage is just wrong. Slice a few links of the spicy stuff and put it on my pie baby!

I've had some really nasty pizza out west ......
California, Arizona, New Mexico etc.

You are a Brit, unless you have traveled to the States, you have No idea what a New York or Chicago style pizzas are...

I went to Italy way back in the early 90s...their pizza is obviously great, but thin, similar to New York style.

Mike, I prefer Chicago, I just loves the gooey thickness of Chicago sytle, yum. New York style remind me of a flat taco, lol.

Seriously, both are great, but thick slices is what I really love.

San Francisco has a lot of Italian immigrants, and there are some killer pizzerias. Oakland also has one of the best Chicago style pizzerias, it's called Zachary's...and guess what? I just came back from there, lol.

Even the New York Times gave it a great review:

Man, they can make a good traditional style NY pizza

Pizza is lousy and the specks on the pizza are not sausage-- they're flies.
