In a part of NY where I lived you could hear someone jumping fences thru the back yards at night. That used to scare me. I wouldn't last 10 minutes in those woods after dark.

That's the thing...these woods are so dense, even though right next to a main road. If you step six feet into them, you disappear completely from view. Very, very easy for something to live in there undetected, and we're only talking hundreds of acres. Now imagine a really remote area like northern California where you literally have millions of acres of unexplored forest. Suddenly the thought of something unknown lurking there doesn't seem so far fetched.

From the looks of it anyone that wanted to take that challenge would be lucky to find a spot to pitch a tent. I wouldn't do it if I could find a spot just for the fact, its very possible you might have an encounter with something besides spiders and snakes.
I used to do the tent camping thing years ago, but i'am too old for that stuff these days. I might do it if we could change the rules a little. How about I just pull off on the shoulder there with a camper. Even then I said I "might" do it.

Those pics look like a Bob Ross nightmare. No happy trees to be found. THat said, if I were the outdoor type and knew anything at all about camping I'd be up for it. Of course I'd be armed with my rifle and some nightvision goggles, but yeah, that looks so cool. There's so much about this planet we don't know, so the existence of sasquatch is entirely possible. If there is I'm kinda hoping he turns out like the Jack Links mascot.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

A little off the subject, but Strike the Sasquatch is the mascot for my local AA baseball team, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

Also, Striking the Sasquatch has become a euphemism among some in the area for "abusing" oneself.

Yeah, I would be much, much, MUCH more worried about drug runners or human psychos hiding in the woods than Bigfoot. A Bigfoot sighting would be actually kinda cool. Running into some "The Hills Have Eyes" psychos, not so much.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

As I said on my first post, a black bear would scare me more than Largefeet, ehem, I mean Bigfoot....

I'd rather come across bigfoot instead of those dudes in Deliverance.

                        "Squeal like a pig, boy!"

                        The hell with that...lol.

It was shot about a mile from where I used to live
