don't know if its my all-time fav (i'd have to think about that for a while), but i always liked Bob Dylan's 1997 Time Out of Mind:



...it perfectly matches the music, which is old-timey, and it also seems a bit quiet and lonely, which again matches the music perfectly.

i've heard the album was mostly recorded in the middle of the night (12am-6am) and it sounds like that and this album photo looks like it might have been taken then, too.
