Went to a Billy Joel concert last night

My wife and I took my 15 year old daughter and her friend to a Billy Joel concert in St. Louis last night.

Wow, his show was pretty amazing and it exceeded my expectations. He sounded great and entire show was spot on!

I like Billy Joel short of The Longest Time and We Didn't Start the Fire, which really grate on me

My daughter is a huge Billy Joel fan, for her birthday I rounded up about 10 of his albums on vinyl for her, which she put in record frames on her wall.

Seeing Billy live is on my bucket list. Saw on the news that he recently made a surprise appearance at an elementary school in NY where the students were performing a concert of his music. Billy didn't appear onstage. He hung out in the audience. Even that would be an honor.

Lucky you! My all-time favorite Billy Joel songs are Honesty and The Matter of Trust.

My biggest prob with BJ is a lot of his big hits come off as whiny if you listen to the lyrics

Big Shot, Move'in Out, You May Be Right, etc
